Three graphic design students earn a spot in AAF’s Most Promising Multicultural Students Program

Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) School of Journalism and Graphic Communication students Brittney George, Janece Martial, and Nadia Tsegga will attend the American Advertising Federation’s 2022 Most Promising Multicultural Student program from Feb. 7-10, 2022 in New York. The program connects promising multicultural talent with leading advertising companies.

“We are extremely proud that three of the 50 students inducted into AAF’s Most Promising Multicultural Students program for 2022 are SJGC seniors,” said SJGC Dean Mira Lowe. “This is the first time that we’ve had multiple students being recognized nationally by AAF in this way. The training and exposure to leading companies and agencies will be invaluable experiences for our students as they seek to make their mark in the industry.”  

The students will attend professional development workshops and expos and come face-to-face with advertising, media, communications, and technology company recruiters Each year, diverse students from the AAF’s 140+ college chapters apply to the program. The program participants have an average GPA of 3.7 and represents 32 schools and 19 states across the country, including California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Ohio, Oregon, New York, and Texas.
