In a remarkable achievement, Florida A&M University (FAMU) School of Journalism & Graphic Communication (SJGC) alumna Dayna Lee Libby, has been honored as one of the AFROTECH™️ Future 50. This prestigious recognition celebrates the contributions and potential of the brightest minds in technology, media and innovation within the African American community.
AFROTECH™️, a leading platform for African American tech professionals, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts, unveiled its Future 50 list during its annual conference, highlighting individuals who are poised to make significant impacts in their respective fields. Libby, who serves as outreach and engagement director of HBCU for the Walt Disney Company/ESPN, was recognized for being a Corporate Catalyst, someone who “actively promotes diversity and redefines and implement inclusive initiatives.” She announced the recognition on her Linkedin profile.

Established in 2022, the AFROTECH Future 50 highlights the contributions Black tech leaders make in the industry.
According to data from Pensions & Investments, only four percent of investment partners are Black. AFROTECH states highlighting innovative companies and their underrepresented leaders should become a priority as Black representation in technology sectors increases.
