FAMU PRSSA Hosts “Fun for Life’’ with Donate Life Florida

Tallahassee, FL – FAMU’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter will be hosting the “Fun for Life” event in collaboration with Donate Life Florida (DLF). Fun for Life will take place at FAMU Park on Friday, April 21st between 1 – 4 pm. The event will honor the gift of organ donation by spreading information and fun activities including bounce houses and games.

Fun for Life will be taking place on the last Set Friday of the semester, just south of Will Packer Amphitheater and next to B.L. Perry. Campus organizations such as FAMU’s Jamaican Student Association (JAMSA), Progressive Black Men (PBM), and SISTUHS will be involved through games and volunteering. FAMU’s very own radio station, 90.5 The Flava, will provide the music for the afternoon. The games will include cornhole, catch the train, and racing with chances to win $25 gift cards as prizes.

Donate Life Florida is a non-profit 501(C)3 charitable organization. Established in 1997 as Florida Coalition on Donation, Inc., Donate Life Florida is dedicated to motivating Floridians to designate themselves as organ, tissue, and eye donors, so lives are saved and enhanced through donation and transplantation.

April is National Donate Life Month, a month of observance focusing national attention on the need for and importance of organ, eye, and tissue donation. More information about their initiative can be found on donatelife.net or representatives at the Fun for Life event.
